All Applicants
Applicants must be the child or grandchild of a member of the LCC-IWLA who has been a member in good standing for at least three years prior to the application, defined as 36 elapsed calendar months of continuous paid membership prior to the April 15th deadline for the given year of application receipt.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Loudoun County for at least 3 years, defined as 36 elapsed calendar months of continuous residency prior to the April 15th deadline for the given year of application receipt.
The applicant must have graduated or will graduate during the current academic year from a Loudoun County Public or Private High School.
The applicant must be enrolled or be planning to enroll as a full-‐time student at an accredited college for the upcoming academic year for which funding is being requested.
All applicants must complete the appropriate section of the LCCIWLA Scholarship Application Package.
New Applicants
A new applicant is defined as someone who meets the criteria listed under the All Applicants section of this document and has never received funding from the LCC-‐IWLA Conservation Scholarship fund.
The new applicant must complete the LCC-‐IWLA Scholarship Application Package for New Applicants.
The new applicant must submit two letters of recommendation, including one from the member (parent/grandparent) listed as the applicant’s sponsor.
The new applicant must submit a high school transcript if they are a graduating senior, or if they have not yet attended college. New applicants who are enrolled in college must submit a transcript from the college or university they are attending as well as the New Applicant Package.
Returning Applicants
A returning applicant is defined as someone who continues to meet the criteria listed under the All Applicants section in this document and has received previous funding from the LCC-‐IWLA Conservation Scholarship fund.
The returning applicant must complete the LCC-‐IWLA Scholarship Application Package for Returning Applicants.
All returning applicants must supply a copy of their grade reports/transcripts for the prior academic year with their completed application.
The returning applicant must have maintained a +2.50 or better Grade Point Average during the prior academic year.
